A 16th century icon painting portraying the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God holding Christ. In His hands, Jesus holds the book of the Law of Moses, being that of the Ten Commandments. The Virgin Mary’s head is tilted towards her son to whom she looks with a characteristic display of affection.The latter portrayed in an unusual iconography of reading a Book.

Η «Θεοτόκος Μαρία ». Κρατάει τον Χριστό, ο οποίος απεικονίζεται σε νηπιακή ηλικία. Τον κρατάει με το αριστερό της χέρι, ενώ με το δεξί τον στηρίζει. Ο Χριστός έχει στα χέρια του το βιβλίο με τον Νόμο του Θεού. Χαρακτηριστική είναι η κλίση της κεφαλής της Παναγίας και το βλέμμα της που είναι στραμμένο προς τον Ιησού.
