Τhe Swiss theologian Karl Barth once said: “When the angels sing for God, they sing Bach, but I am sure that when they sing for themselves, they sing Mozart and God eavesdrops”.

In 1977, a musical sampler sent into outer space with the Voyager spacecraft featured tracks from Bach, Mozart and Beethoven.

This set of stamps won 1st prize in the world voting organized by Motivgruppe Music-Philatelic Music Circle, for the most popular stamp of 2011. It was chosen first among musical issues of 50 countries. The 1st Prize PMC Yehudi Menuhin Trophy 2012 was awarded to the designer while the Cyprus Postal Services received the Special Yehudi Menuhin Award Certificate.
