Description
Christ is standing on top of the broken doors of Hell and holds Adam by the hand raising him from his tomb. Behind him, Eve is standing in the company of others. On the other side of Christ, kings and lords are watching. This icon is found in the nave series of the iconostasis in the Katholikon and belongs to the enriched cycle of Dodecaorton. Dimensions 41 x 53 cm. Painted by Joseph Chourri.
O Χριστός πατά πάνω στις σπασμένες πόρτες του Άδη και κρατά τον Αδάμ απο το χέρι σηκώνοντάς τον. Πίσω του στέκεται η Εύα και άλλοι. Από την άλλη πλευρά βασιλείς και άρχοντες παρακολουθούν. Η εικόνα της Ανάστασης βρίσκεται στο κεντρικό κλίτος του εικονοστασίου στο Καθολικό και ανήκει στον διευρυμένο κύκλο του Δωδεκαόρτου. Διαστάσεις 41 x 53 cm. Έργον Ιωσήφ Χούρρη.
