Bronze Sculpture Motherhood by Nicos Dimiotis, EUROPA Issue Contemporary Art, Republic of Cyprus

Description

In Cyprus, contemporary art began to take shape in the latter part of the 3rd quarter of the 19th century when painters of the caliber of Ioannis Kissonerghis and Vasilis Vryonides first began to present their works of art. They were soon followed by other painters of great ability such as Adamantios Diamantis and George Pol. Georghiou who laid the foundations for the next generation of painters.
