Photograph taken on 1934 in Lofou village, in a coffee shop of the village. The man who sits on the bicycle is the Themistoklis F. Milanthis, who was set as the first honorary secretary of the local S.P.E.Y.L (Cooperative Bank of Ypsonas- Lofou), from the committee on January 1940. Next to him as you can see there are men from the village.

Photograph of the Girls' school of Lofou at the school period of 1914-1915. In the middle the teacher Maria A. Georgiadou. She first started working as a teacher in Lofou on 1915 till 1927. She was born in Agios Theodoros Pitsilias and her family were teachers as well (father and husband). She loved literature, drawing and music. She served for 30 years in various schools around the island.

Before 50-60 years most carob quantities exported abroad, where it was processed for various uses (mainly England, Italy). A small amount was processed by the sliver House in Limassol.
