Η ίδρυση του ΣΟΔΑΠ αποσκοπούσε στο να δημιουργήσει σύγχρονο εργοστάσιο για την κατασκευή οινικών προϊόντων, σύμφωνα με τα δεδομένα της εποχής. Τέλος του 1951 ιδρύεται και το Σχέδιο Αμπελουργικών Προϊόντων.
