A mildly abstracted sketch of an angel playing the violin by the artist Costas Parthenis . Born in Alexandria to an Italian mother and Greek father, Constantinos (or Costas for short) is a distinguished Greek painter known for moving away from the Greek academic tradition of the 19th century by introducing modern elements together with traditional themes (such as the figure of Christ) into his art. The back of the drawing is stamped and signed as authentic by the artist’s son, Nikos.

Στο πίσω μέρος του σχεδίου, ο γιος του καλλιτέχνη, ο Νίκος, βεβαιώνει, με τη σφραγίδα και την υπογραφή του, ότι είναι αυθεντικό έργο του πατέρα του.
