The Annunciation icon is painted on the doors of the main entrance to the Sanctuary of the Katholikon. On the left door stands Archangel Gabriel holding lilies and on the right door Virgin Mary crosses her hands on the chest in a sigh of obedience to the Message.
Ο Ευαγγελισμός της Θεοτόκου πάνω στα Βημόθυρα του Καθολικού παρουσιάζει στο αριστερό βημόθυρο τον Αρχάγγελο Γαβριήλ να κρατεί κρίνα και στο δεξιό βημόθυρο την Παναγία να σταυρώνει τα χέρια στο στήθος σε στάση υπακοής στο θεϊκό θέλημα.
