Description
Unusual representation with Christ sitting on the left side and the Apostles around a round table. Saint John the Evangelist is approaching his head on the chest of Christ asking who is the one to betray him. This icon is found on the south aisle of the iconostasis in the Katholikon and belongs to the enriched cycle of Dodecaorton. Dimensions 35 x 43 cm. Painted by Joseph Chourri.
Ασυνήθιστη παράσταση με τον Χριστό στην αριστερή άκρη της εικόνας και τους μαθητές καθήμενους σε στρογγυλή τράπεζα. Ο Ιωάννης σκύβει στο στήθος του Χριστού για να ρωτήσει ποιός θα τον προδώσει. Η εικόνα βρίσκεται στο νότιο κλίτος του εικονοστασίου στο Καθολικόν και ανήκει στον διευρυμένο κύκλο του Δωδεκαόρτου. Διαστάσεις 35 x 43 cm. Έργον Ιωσήφ Χούρρη.
