Description
These two scenes " Road to the Calvary " and " Crucifixion " are not separated. At the first scene Christ is delivered to be crucified. In the second Christ is on the Cross. Next to the cross stands Virgin Mary, the two myrophoroi, Saint John the Evangelist and Saint Longinus. The wall-painting belongs to the "Passion Cycle" and is found on the upper zone of paintings in the Naos of the Enkleistra.
Οι δύο αυτές σκηνές "Ο Ελκόμενος " και "H Σταύρωση " δεν χωρίζονται. Στον "Ελκόμενο", αρχίζει η πορεία για τον Γολγοθά, ενώ στη "Σταύρωση" απεικονίζεται ο Χριστός πάνω στο Σταυρό στο Γολγοθά. Δίπλα στο σταυρό στέκονται η Παναγία, δύο Μυροφόρες, ο Ιωάννης ο Ευαγγελιστής και ο Λογγίνος. Ανήκει στο θεματικό κύκλο "Τα Πάθη του Χριστού". Η τοιχογραφία βρίσκεται στη δεύτερη ζώνη στο Ναό της Εγκλείστρας.
