Description
Saint Gregory is dressed with all his sacerdotal vestments and the white ''homophoron'' with crosses. He holds a gospel closed and ornamented with precious stones while he blesses with his right hand. His curly beard is reminiscent of ancient Greek statue. This wall-painting is found on the east wall of the Naos in the Enkleistra.
Ο Άγιος Γρηγόριος φορεί τα αρχιερατικά του άμφια με ένα λευκό ωμόφορο με σταυρούς. Κρατεί ευαγγέλιον στολισμένο με πολύτιμους λίθους και ευλογεί με το δεξί χέρι. Η σγουρή γενειάδα του θυμίζει αρχαιοελληνικό άγαλμα. Η τοιχογραφία βρίσκεται στον ανατολικό τοίχο του Ναού στην Εγκλείστρα.
