Description
The archaeological site, where this museum is located, is a small settlement dating to the 12th century BC, the end of the Late Bronze age. According to archaeologists, the settlement has been termed a “colony” of the first Achaean (Mycenaean) Greeks who migrated to Cyprus at around 1200 BC, after the fall of the Mycenaean Kingdoms in mainland Greece. This small museum with its unusual architecture was designed by Andrea Bruno, a prominent architect, Professor at the University of Turin. The museum depicts the colonization of the island by the Greeks.
