Below, is a translation from the works of Odysseas Elytis: "Eternal Icon Showered in light You address our every concern To bring closer our hope Towards tranquility"."Rejoice in where you step, and the footpr ints disappear, Rejoice in where you awaken, and miracles occur, Rejoice in the paradise of wilds and deep seas, Rejoice with the saint of the desert island, Rejoice with the bearer of dreams, and rejoice in the expanse of the sea, Rejoice in the anchor bearer and the beautiful stars". Poem from: Ash-Wednesday, 1930, by T.S. Eliot "Lady of silence Calm and distressed Torn and most whole Rose of Memory Rose of forgetfulness Exhausted and life giving".
