Description

Triangular legs; short body; tall neck; high crested mane; short tail; small ears; dominant eyes. Hard, pale buff clay; matt, pale buff slip; matt, dark red and dark reddish brown paint. Brown, horizontal strokes, framed by brown, vertical lines, on lower legs; red fields on upper legs; brown, horizontal and vertical strokes on body and neck; red field on upper neck; brown strokes indicating mane; brown lines encircling nose. red paint on tail and ears; brown encircled disc marking eyes.

Within the framework of collaboration between Världskulturmuseerna and the UNESCO Chair on Digital Cultural Heritage at Cyprus University of Technology, the digitization of a substantial portion of the Cypriot collection at Stockholm's Medelhavsmuseet Museum has been accomplished.
