Description

Flat base; depressed body; wide, pinched mouth; flat handle from rim to upper body. Hard, light buff clay (10YR 7/3); semi-lustrous, light buff slip (10YR 7/3-8/3); matt, lilac and dark brown paint. Flying bird, in lilac and brown, on either side of body; contour in brown and filled wings and hatched body in lilac; tree-ornament on front; branch in lilac and rest in brown; brown line encircling neck-base; brown eye on either side of mouth; brown line encircling rim; lilac and brown horizontal lines on handle; side of handle painted brown.

Within the framework of collaboration between Världskulturmuseerna and the UNESCO Chair on Digital Cultural Heritage at Cyprus University of Technology, the digitization of a substantial portion of the Cypriot collection at Stockholm's Medelhavsmuseet Museum has been accomplished.
