Description

Oval, male head; thin, well-defined chin; strained cheeks; small, smiling mouth with thin lips; thin nose in line with forehead; eyes in shape of myrtle-leaf; the hair (possibly a wig) is parted in the middle, marked by slightly curved grooves on head and falls down in twisted plaits, leaving the rather big ears visible. Crudely worked back-side. White limestone. Buff patina.

Within the framework of collaboration between Världskulturmuseerna and the UNESCO Chair on Digital Cultural Heritage at Cyprus University of Technology, the digitization of a substantial portion of the Cypriot collection at Stockholm's Medelhavsmuseet Museum has been accomplished.
