Διαφανές εποπτικό αντίγραφο του Μηχανισμού των Αντικυθήρων (κλίμακα 4:1)

Abstract:

The model constitutes the biggest model ever manufactured from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki team. The replica's size is four times larger than the original and is now located at the town hall of the Municipality of Kythera and Antikythera islands, to whom the Antikythera island belongs and where the Mechanism was found. It is made of transparent materials providing the visitor the opportunity to discern the internal side of the Mechanism and its components. Due to its size, every scale and engraved text of the Antikythera Mechanism is easily discernible and legible, respectively.
It was constructed in 2016 and constitutes the only model in such size manufactured by the academic team of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
Every new model constructed by the team includes the most recent information resulted from the continuing research
