Description

Saint Symeon Stylites, is depicted adjacently to Saint Nikephoros on the eastern face of the strengthened respond of the naos. He is dated to the sixteenth century, along with Nikephoros and Onouphrios below. Symeon is an ascetic saint and should have been a popular saint among the monastic community of Asinou.
He is depicted with his identifying feature, the stele. He was an ascetic saint who chose to live on his own on a stele due to the frequent visits of believers.
