For many centuries Cyprus has been a stepping stone for diverse peoples and cultures resulting in a unique architectural heritage. A visitor can explore the Roman mosaics of a once sumptuous Roman residence while Gothic, Venetian, Ionic and Ottoman architecture still exist around the island. In Lefkosia and other cities British Colonial architecture abounds with many historical buildings that have their own stories to tell. The Colonial Larnaka Customs Houses now make up the city’s Municipal Cultural Center.

It is therefore not impossible for any visitor no matter where his interests lie, to have a memorable and rewarding holiday.
