Europa, Commemorative Issue
Dublin Core
Title
Europa, Commemorative Issue
Description
For the first time since 1974 PostEurop (The Association of European Public Postal Operators) proposed this common design “Integration as seen by Young People”for adoption by all members of the Association.
In 1987 the European Union launched the “Erasmus” programme which turned out to be one of the world’s most successfulmobility programmes allowing student exchanges between universities within the Union. Students are given the opportunity to spend 3 to 12 months in another European country and have it count towards a degree.
The freedom of movement allows young people to address linguistic and cultural differences thus facilitating their integration and promoting a wider understanding among people.
