Description
Pinakoti, was a wooden plank with hemispherical indents/slots, where the baker would place the bread dough/mixture. The mixture would rest on the planks for several hours allowing the yeast in the mixture to ferment. A large piece of cloth/towel was placed between the plank and the mixture and then was folded again on top of it to cover it.
