From the 1960s to the Turkish invasion in 1974, the municipality with other town associations organised the Annual Orange Festival. In order to preserve the memory of these events, every June the displaced municipality organises, with the help of other organisations, the Morphou festival in Nicosia.The festival includes folklore dances, a Flower Show, photographic exhibitions and others.
Από τη δεκαετία του 1960 και κάθε χρόνο μέχρι την τουρκική επιδρομή του 1974, ο Δήμος Μόρφου μαζί με τους άλλους φορείς της πόλης οργάνωναν το φεστιβάλ πορτοκαλιού. Για τη διατήρηση της μνήμης των εκδηλώσεων αυτών, ο εκτοπισμένος Δήμος και οι άλλοι φορείς διοργανώνουν φεστιβάλ Μόρφου κάθε Ιούνιο στη Λευκωσία, που περιλαμβάνει λαϊκούς χορούς, εκθέσεις ανθέων, εκθέσεις φωτογραφιών κ.α.
