Τhe courtyards were surrounded by high stone walls with a central gateway. Somebody could meet a traditional stone oven, a recess for the water pot, called “stamnostatis”, many flower pots, and sometimes a special place for chicken or bigger animals of the family (Photo Studio KOKOS)
Συνήθως ανοίγοντας το ξωπόρτι, αντίκριζε κάποιος την αυλή όπου υπήρχε τις περισσότερες φορές ο φούρνος, ο εξωτερικός σταμνοστάτης και κάπου κοντά ειδικός «τόπος» για τις «όρνιθες» το κοτέτσι και τόπος για τον «χοίρο». Όσοι είχαν μικρά κοπάδια διέθεταν στην αυλή και χώρο για αυτά, αλλά υπήρχαν και χώροι για τα μεγαλύτερα ζώα (Φωτογραφικό Στούντιο ΚΟΚΟΣ).
