Europe is firmly moving forward with its great idea of integration. In 1974 it decided that it should no longer hinder the expression of each country's identity in stipulating the annual stamp issue, but to define only the theme concerning the issue allowing the expression and the creation to be the work of each country's designer.Ten years later in 1984 and also in 2000, it again decided to have a common design for all the countries in yet another attempt at the re -affirmation of the idea of a United Europe and the expression of solidarity.
