Title
Mount Olympus, Troodos, 29th International Ski Federation Congress, Republic of Cyprus
Description
The Troodos range of mountains, in the center of the island, is where Mount Olympus rears its peak at 1,952 meters above sea level. For those who enjoy winter sports and especially skiing, Mount Olympus offers excellent conditions and adequate accommodation. Snow clad between mid January and often until mid April, ski enthusiasts can enjoy rushing down the pine covered slopes where the trees have their branches drooping as a result of heavy snow falls. There are four pistes, one of which is for beginners and one for the most experienced skiers. Four snow lifts take the skiers up the slopes.
