Archangel Gabriel has black wings and holds an inscribed scroll. It is an icon of the Great Supplication which is saved on the nave of the iconostasis of the Katholikon. Dimensions 83 x 69 cm. Painted by Joseph Chourri.

Founded around 1200 by Cypriot recluse and writer Neofytos. The ‘Enkleistra’, a cave that the hermit carved out of the mountains, is covered with some of the finest examples of Byzantine wall painting that date to the 12th and 15th centuries.

Ancient Maps of Cyprus. Dated in 16th-19th century. The maps are exhibited at the Ecclesiastical Museum of the Monastery of Saint Neophytos in Paphos.
