Photograph of the Girls' school of Lofou at the school period of 1914-1915. In the middle the teacher Maria A. Georgiadou. She first started working as a teacher in Lofou on 1915 till 1927. She was born in Agios Theodoros Pitsilias and her family were teachers as well (father and husband). She loved literature, drawing and music. She served for 30 years in various schools around the island.

Distinguish the means of transport of the time that was mainly animals (donkeys) and cabs. Before about 60 years the production of carob was the main agricultural product and export was great. So we can say that justly called the "Black gold of Cyprus"

Sergeant Elias Kannaouros, during the Turkish invasion in Cyprus in July 1974, serves at 211 Infantry Battalion. He left his last breath on the battlefield on August 16, 1974 near the area of "Ayios Pavlos". By 2000 Elias waited in the list of missing persons, when the bones were found and identified by the method of DNA. He was buried with military honors on October 15, 2000 in Ypsonas. On 18/09/2005 unveiled the statue in Lofou village by the Minister of Defence Kyriakos Mavronikolas and from July 17, 2008 the statue adorns the square "Marios Tokas" in Ypsonas.

He was born in Lofou and was elected deputy in the elections of 1923. He was one of the so-called "septenary" and the election of Hadjistyllis created great tension in the village, where the inhabitants were divided into two factions intransigents and moderates. Also in these elections in Lofou spent hundreds of pounds on both sides. In April 1923 the Hadjistyllis elected president of the Society of Wine Producers based in "Krasochoria". He served as a President of Community Ipsonas from 1925-1927.

She served in Lofou village as a teacher of Girls during the years 1934-1937. She was the first teacher in the school year 1937-1938 who served in Mixed Elementary School and had an annual salary of 69 pounds. Stasa Kyprianou arrived in Cyprus after the Mikrasiatiki catastrophe of 1922 along with four sisters and 75 other refugees. She was the first teacher Makrasiatikis origin who served in Cyprus. She worked at many other schools in Cyprus.
