Archaic Bichrome Kylix

This wall-painting is part of the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary. It is found in the Bema right and above the entrance to the Enkleistra. Archangel Gabriel with open wings raises his right hand and blesses Virgin Mary.

Archangel Gabriel has black wings and holds an inscribed scroll. It is an icon of the Great Supplication which is saved on the nave of the iconostasis of the Katholikon. Dimensions 83 x 69 cm. Painted by Joseph Chourri.
