Lefkara lace embroidery, known as Lefkaritiko, is one of the most distinctive crafts of Cyprus. It is the best known in Cypriot embroidery. Its name derives from the village of Lefkara, the village where it was first developed.
Embroiderers from the village of Kato Lefkara are making the last stitches on the lace tablecolth as a present to Queen Elizabeth on behalf of Lace merchants Association.
