Four construction phases are represented in the palatial complex, corresponding to teo periods of the Cypro-Classical years (from the early to the mid-5th century B.C. and from 450 to 380 B.C. respectively). The limestone column capital with a representation of the goddess Hathor in relief corroborates the Eastern influence of the first palace’s architectural style. Εντοπίστηκαν τέσσερις συνολικά φάσεις, που εντάσσονται σε δύο περιόδους των Κυπρο-κλασσικών χρόνων (αρχές μέχρι τα μέσα του 5ου αιώνα π.Χ. και από το 450 μέχρι του 380 π.Χ. αντίστοιχα. Τούμπα του Σκούρου Subject The topic of the resource Αρχαιολογία-–Κύπρος Archaeology--Cyprus Description An account of the resource The prehistoric city at Toumba tou Skourou, built sometime between the end of the Middle Bronze Age and the beginning of the Late Bronze Age (16th and 15th centuries B.C.) was still standing until the end of the Cypro-Archaic years (475 B.C.) After 1974, the archaeological site was pillaged. Today, the few architectural remains are in poor condition.
