Πρόκειται για τη συλλογή παλαιών αντικειμένων αγροτικής ζωής του Τμήματος Γεωργίας, ένα υλικό που καταγράφει την πορεία της γεωργίας στην Κύπρο, καθώς και διάφορες εκφάνσεις της Κυπριακής αγροτικής ζωής.
Η συλλογή περιλαμβάνει πάνω από 1500 αντικείμενα από την προβιομηχανική κοινωνία της Κύπρου, που χρονολογούνται από το 18ο - 20ο αιώνα. Περιλαμβάνει επίσης και τα πρώτα μεγάλα γεωργικά μηχανήματα. Τα αντικείμενα είναι κατανεμημένα σε ενότητες, ανάλογα με τον κλάδο που εξυπηρετούν, αλλά και το υλικό κατασκευής τους. Κάποιες από τις ενότητες του μουσείου είναι αμπελουργία, αρτοποιία, κεραμική, ποιμενικά, υφαντική, οικιακά σκεύη, λιθοτεχνία, μεταλλουργία, ξυλογλυπτική, χαλκοτεχνία, εργαλεία κωμοδρόμου, πελεκάνου, στρατουρά.
Προς το παρόν ο χώρος δεν είναι ανοικτός προς το κοινό, σημαντικό όμως βήμα για το ΜΚΥ, αποτελεί η συνεργασία με το ΤΕΠΑΚ και η ψηφιακή ανάδειξη των αντικειμένων αγροτικής ζωής, που συνδέονταν άρρηκτα με την επιβίωση των κατοίκων του νησιού.

Description
An account of the resource
Anna, the mother of the Virgin, is depicted on the pillar underneath the Annunciation scene. Along with eoakim, Her father, portrayed on either respond of the bema arch, proclaim the human nature of Christ in the Annunciation.
Depictions of them have been attested at Trikomo and at Asinu itself on the twelfth century layer within the bema area in scenes of the Mariological cycle. However, the whole representation of the bema arch bears visual features belonging to its era. Their contemporaneous parallels are to be found in Crete where Anna and eoakim are depicted in medallions beneath the Annunciation.

Anna, mother of Virgin Mary is praying in her garden and in a second scene Joachim and Anna embrace each other. This icon is found on the northern aisle of the iconostasis of the Katholikon and belongs to the enriched cycle of Dodecaorton. Dimensions 34 x 43 cm. Painted by Joseph Chourri.

50 years of the Cyprus Medical Association
The Cyprus Medical Association was established by law in 1967. Doctors who practice medicine on the island are obliged to be registered as members of the Association. At present it has about 3250 members.
The Association safeguards the rights of its members, promotes the continuous upgrading of the quality of health services and, through constructive intervention, benefits both patients and society in general.
It contributes to scientific, social and cultural life by organising conferences, meetings, events and activities
The Cyprus Medical Association provides advice and facilities to its members with regard to their relationship and cooperation with the State, the Authorities and other organisations.
It cooperates with other national and international bodies in order to achieve its goals.
60 Years of Cyprus Television
Cyprus television first broadcast in 1957. The development of Cyprus television and radio began in 1960, with the establishment of the Republic of Cyprus. During this period it changed its name from the Cyprus Broadcasting Service to the Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation (CyBC) and has operated as a semi-governmental organisation since then.
A refreshing and creative spirit has marked the course of CyBC since independence.
Public Broadcasting evolved rapidly from its early days, with ever-increasing numbers of programmes, creative staffing and the renewal of transmitters and relay stations.
From the first day that CyBC started its operations it has recorded the daily life of the Cypriot people and has handled all crises with the seriousness and responsibility that its role demands, especially that of 1974.
100 Years of the Lions
The Lions (Liberty, Intelligence, Our Nation’s Safety), the international association of clubs, is the largest organisation of volunteers in the world, providing services to people and society. For the past 100 years (1917-2017), under their slogan ‘WE SERVE’, the organisation has offered its services, free of political, religious, racial or other creeds and interests. It is represented in the United Nations and all charitable organisations. There are 46,000 Clubs with 1.400.000 members in 202 countries.
Key pillars of contribution are the environment, youth, vision and poverty. Through countless programmes, they plant thousands of hectares of trees, prevent blindness in millions of people, help to cure and fight diseases and dependencies and build schools and hospitals.

65 Years of EOKA Liberation Struggle
This year marks the 65th anniversary of 1st of April 1955, the day the EOKA struggle began. A milestone for Cyprus history, because it proved the mental strength of Cypriot Hellenism and its strong faith in the demand for Enosis (Union) with Greece. A milestone in world history, because it has demonstrated the power of the desire for freedom that has pervaded the darkness of colonialism. The peaceful young people of Cyprus turned into excellent and resourceful freedom fighters, the pupils turned into a rushing volcano and the women turned into mental strength beacons. The participation of the whole Hellenism of Cyprus is the component that made the Struggle great, aroused the admiration of all free men and women around the world and forced Great Britain to withdraw, resulting in the creation of the Republic of Cyprus.
25 Years of Melathron Agoniston EOKA
In 1995, the Melathron Agoniston EOKA started its operation based on an idea and vision of the surviving fighters of EOKA 1955-1959. With the motto "Our debt to those who died, our debt to those who live", they all worked hard with sympathy and mutual support and achieved this sacred goal with the full support of the State, the Church and organized bodies and organizations.
The Melathron first opened its doors for the Fighters of our Liberation Struggle and then for the fighters of all the modern struggles of Cyprus. In our days, it serves everybody who needs it.
The Melathron has been operating since the establishment of the "Home for the Elderly", while it can be proud of its "Rehabilitation Centre" specializing in the rehabilitation of the nervous, musculoskeletal and vascular systems, as well as in other diseases.

This year, the Cyprus Cancer Association celebrates 50 years of contribution. The effort started in 1971, by a group of volunteers, with the late Dimitris Souliotis and Hakop Keheyan as its inspirers and pioneers. Their main purpose was to provide free care to patients with cancer experience. Today, the Association offers palliative care services in its two Centres, "Arodafnousa" in Nicosia and "Evagoreio" in Limassol, but also in patients' homes throughout Cyprus. The "Origami Swallow" which is a symbol of hope, support and relief in difficult times, is dedicated to all those who stood by the Association throughout its course. Their support helps the Association to continue supporting our fellow humans with cancer. A kind care that comes from the heart.
