Οι κάτοικοι έβοσκαν τα κοπάδια τους σε ακτίνα που έφτανε μέχρι τη σημερινή τοποθεσία του χωριού. Τα βράδια, οι βοσκοί χρησιμοποιούσαν το σπήλαιο αυτό για κατοικία τους . Αργότερα φαίνεται ότι το σπήλαιο αυτό χρησιμοποιήθηκε από την οικογένεια Χατζηρούσου με αποτέλεσμα μέχρι σήμερα να είναι γνωστό με το όνομα «ο σπήλιος του Χατζηρούσου». Η σπηλιά έχει κατά προσέγγιση έκταση 50 cm2 και ύψος 1, 5 m περίπου κάτω από το φυσικό βράχο, γι' αυτό και πιθανό να λαξεύτηκε.Σήμερα έχει καθαριστεί και η αξιοποίηση του είναι θέμα χρόνου.
