At the north wall there is a shallow niche where Virgin Mary is depicted seated on a throne holding Christ surrounded by two bishops looking on the opposite direction. Saint John Chrysostom looks to the left towards the Crucifixion and Basil the Great on the right appears looking towards the Resurrection.
