Η είσοδος στο χωριό από την λεωφόρο Αμμοχώστου-Τρικώμου. Προ 1974, εκεί βρισκόταν ο σύλλογος 'Νέος Αιών', ο οποίος ιδρύθηκε το 1900. Οι δρόμοι που διαφαίνονται στην φωτογραφία οδηγούν σε διαφορετικά σημεία. Ο αριστερόστροφος δρόμος οδηγούσε στη Λευκωσία μέσω της κοινότητας Λευκονοίκου, ο κεντρικός δρόμος οδηγούσε στην αγορά του χωριού και στο κάστρο της Καντάρας και ο δεξιόστροφος δρόμος οδηγούσε στο Ριζοκάρπασο και το Μοναστήρι του Αποστόλου Ανδρέα.
Στην πλατεία στην είσοδο του χωριού υπάρχει μικρή, μονόχωρη Βυζαντινή εκκλησία αφιερωμένη στον Άγιο Ιάκωβο Αδελφόθεο, προστάτη του χωριού, όπου κάθε χρόνο, στις 23 Οκτωβρίου, πριν το 1974, λάμβανε χώρα πανήγυρις προς τη μνήμη του. Ο ναός ανήκει στον αρχιτεκτονικό τύπο του συνεπτυγμένου σταυροειδούς εγγεγραμμένου με τρούλλο με Φράγκικες επιδράσεις και κτισμένη με πελεκητούς λίθους. Η ανέγερσή του ανάγεται στα τέλη του 14ου αιώνα, ενώ, κατά την Τουρκοκρατία διακοσμήθηκε με πινάκια από πορσελάνη. Στο μικρό εικονοστάσιο του ναού φυλάσσονταν, μέχρι το 1974, δυο εικόνες του 17ου αιώνα-έργα του ζωγράφου Μελετίου του Κρητός. Η μια εικόνα απεικονίζει τον Χριστό και η άλλη την Παναγία. Οι εικόνες κλάπηκαν μετά την Τουρκική εισβολή και εντοπίστηκαν στην Ελβετία, ενώ, μετά από επίπονες προσπάθειες επετεύχθη ο επαναπατρισμός τους.
Entrance to the Trikomo village from Ammochostos town. There is a small Byzantine church dedicated to the Saint James, the Just, patron of the village and every year a festival used to take place before the Turkish invasion.

Ο Ανδρέας Ζάκος γεννήθηκε στο χωριό Λινού, της επαρχίας Λευκωσίας, στις 12 Νοεμβρίου 1931. Σε νεαρή ηλικία μετοίκησε με την οικογένειά του στη Λεύκα.
Απαγχονίστηκε στις 9 Αυγούστου 1956 στις Κεντρικές Φυλακές Λευκωσίας. Οι γονείς του ήταν ο Χαρίλαος και η Αφροδίτη Ζάκου και είχε τέσσερα αδέλφια, τον Γεώργιο, τον Αδόλφο, την Αστέρω και την Ευρούλα.

Ο Μάρκος Δράκος φοίτησε στο δημοτικό σχολείο των χωριών Καλοπαναγιώτη, Βατιλής και Λεύκας και αποφοίτησε από την Εμπορική Σχολή Σαμουήλ. Ήταν λογιστής στην Ελληνική Εταιρεία. Διετέλεσε μέλος του Γενικού Συμβουλίου της ΣΕΚ. Το 1952, ως μέλος της επιτροπής της οργάνωσης ΠΕΟΝ, εργάστηκε στην οργάνωση της νεολαίας, συμβάλλοντας αποτελεσματικά στην καλλιέργεια των εθνικοθρησκευτικών ιδεωδών. Την 1η Απριλίου 1955 ηγήθηκε της ομάδας του στην επίθεση εναντίον της τότε Κυπριακής Ραδιοφωνικής Υπηρεσίας και στις 19 Ιουνίου 1955 οργάνωσε βομβιστική επίθεση εναντίον του αστυνομικού σταθμού της Πύλης Κερύνειας στη Λευκωσία. Στις 25 Μαΐου 1955 ηγήθηκε απόπειρας εναντίον του Άγγλου Κυβερνήτη Άρμιτεϊτζ στο κινηματοθέατρο Παλλάς. Συνελήφθη από τους Άγγλους στις 30 Ιουνίου 1955 και κρατήθηκε στις Κεντρικές Φυλακές Λευκωσίας μέχρι τις 15 Ιουλίου, οπότε μεταφέρθηκε στο Φρούριο της Κερύνειας με βάση το νέο νόμο περί κρατήσεως προσώπων άνευ δίκης. Στις 23 Σεπτεμβρίου 1955 δραπέτευσε μαζί με άλλους αγωνιστές και επικηρύχθηκε με το ποσό των 5.000 λιρών. Κατέφυγε στα βουνά του Κύκκου, όπου σχημάτισε την πρώτη ανταρτική ομάδα της περιοχής με την επωνυμία “Ουρανός” και διηύθυνε πολλές επιχειρήσεις εναντίον του εχθρού, μεταξύ των οποίων και την ενέδρα στις 15 Δεκεμβρίου 1955 στο Μερσινάκι, όπου έπεσε ο ήρωας Χαράλαμπος Μούσκος και συνελήφθηκαν οι ήρωες Χαρίλαος Μιχαήλ και Ανδρέας Ζάκος. Ο Δράκος κατόρθωσε να διαφύγει τραυματισμένος στο κεφάλι. Στις 12 Νοεμβρίου 1956 μαζί με τον Πολύκαρπο Γιωρκάτζη ηγήθηκαν επίθεσης στην Ξεραρκάκα εναντίον φάλαγγας στρατιωτικών οχημάτων στο δρόμο Λεύκας – Καλοπαναγιώτη. Στα λημέρια του Δράκου κατέφυγε και ο Διγενής στις 17 Ιανουαρίου 1956 και παρέμεινε μέχρι το Μάιο του ιδίου έτους. Στις 15 με 16 Ιανουαρίου 1957 ο Μάρκος Δράκος και τέσσερις αντάρτες του είχαν υποχρεωθεί να εγκαταλείψουν το κρησφύγετό τους στην περιοχή Τρουλινός του χωριού Καλοπαναγιώτης, κατόπιν εκτεταμένων ερευνών που άρχισαν εκεί οι Άγγλοι, μετά από προδοσία, και να καταφύγουν στον τομέα Σολέας. Τη νύχτα της 18ης Ιανουαρίου 1957, ενώ προσπαθούσε, επικεφαλής της ομάδας του, να διασπάσει τον κλοιό των Άγγλων, που επεκτείνοντας τις έρευνές τους είχαν ασφυκτικά περικυκλώσει ολόκληρη την περιοχή Σολέας και να οδηγήσει τους άνδρες του σε ασφαλέστερο μέρος, ενέπεσε σε ενεδρεύοντες Άγγλους στρατιώτες. “Στην προσπάθειά μας αυτή”, αφηγείται ο συναγωνιστής του Τεύκρος Λοΐζου, “πέσαμε τρεις κατά συνέχεια φορές πάνω σε Άγγλους στρατιώτες. Την πρώτη ανταλλάξαμε πυροβολισμούς, τη δεύτερη όχι. Επικρατούσε σφοδρή κακοκαιρία. Στη λάμψη μιας αστραπής ο Μάρκος Δράκος και ένας Άγγλος στρατιώτης αλληλοεπισημάνθηκαν και αλληλοπυροβολήθηκαν. Οι επιμνημόσυνες ακολουθίες για τον Μάρκο Δράκο συγκέντρωναν πλήθος κόσμου από διάφορα μέρη της Κύπρου για να αποτίσουν φόρο τιμής στο άξιο νιάτο της Λεύκας.

Ο Μάρκος Δράκος φοίτησε στο δημοτικό σχολείο των χωριών Καλοπαναγιώτη, Βατιλής και Λεύκας και αποφοίτησε από την Εμπορική Σχολή Σαμουήλ. Ήταν λογιστής στην Ελληνική Εταιρεία. Διετέλεσε μέλος του Γενικού Συμβουλίου της ΣΕΚ. Το 1952, ως μέλος της επιτροπής της οργάνωσης ΠΕΟΝ, εργάστηκε στην οργάνωση της νεολαίας, συμβάλλοντας αποτελεσματικά στην καλλιέργεια των εθνικοθρησκευτικών ιδεωδών. Την 1η Απριλίου 1955 ηγήθηκε της ομάδας του στην επίθεση εναντίον της τότε Κυπριακής Ραδιοφωνικής Υπηρεσίας και στις 19 Ιουνίου 1955 οργάνωσε βομβιστική επίθεση εναντίον του αστυνομικού σταθμού της Πύλης Κερύνειας στη Λευκωσία. Στις 25 Μαΐου 1955 ηγήθηκε απόπειρας εναντίον του Άγγλου Κυβερνήτη Άρμιτεϊτζ στο κινηματοθέατρο Παλλάς. Συνελήφθη από τους Άγγλους στις 30 Ιουνίου 1955 και κρατήθηκε στις Κεντρικές Φυλακές Λευκωσίας μέχρι τις 15 Ιουλίου, οπότε μεταφέρθηκε στο Φρούριο της Κερύνειας με βάση το νέο νόμο περί κρατήσεως προσώπων άνευ δίκης. Στις 23 Σεπτεμβρίου 1955 δραπέτευσε μαζί με άλλους αγωνιστές και επικηρύχθηκε με το ποσό των 5.000 λιρών. Κατέφυγε στα βουνά του Κύκκου, όπου σχημάτισε την πρώτη ανταρτική ομάδα της περιοχής με την επωνυμία “Ουρανός” και διηύθυνε πολλές επιχειρήσεις εναντίον του εχθρού, μεταξύ των οποίων και την ενέδρα στις 15 Δεκεμβρίου 1955 στο Μερσινάκι, όπου έπεσε ο ήρωας Χαράλαμπος Μούσκος και συνελήφθηκαν οι ήρωες Χαρίλαος Μιχαήλ και Ανδρέας Ζάκος.
