Στις θεατρικές παραστάσεις λάμβαναν μέρος αποκλειστικά άνδρες γι' αυτό και τους γυναικείους ρόλους υποδύονταν άνδρες. Ιστάμενοι απο αριστερά αναγνωρίζονται οι Χριστόδουλος Μωυσή, Γιαννής Πελεκανή, Βάσος Παντελή, Γεώργιος Μακρής, Ανδρέας Κωνσταντίνου, Αγαθοκλής Πιερή, Κωστής Πραξής και Χριστόδουλος Κωνσταντίνου και καθήμενοι απο αριστερά οι Χρίστος Παπαδόπουλος, Μιχαλάκης Πιερή, Κώστας Βανέζη, Χρίστος Βανέζη, Ζένιος Ευθυμίου, Κοκής Πιερή και Γεώργιος Κώστα. Η πλοκή του θεατρικού έργου αναπτύσσεται γύρω απο τον χαρακτήρα της φτωχής και ορφανής βοσκοπούλας Γκόλφω. Η όμορφη νεαρή ξενοδουλεύει υπηρετώντας τον τσέλιγκα Ζήση και γνωρίζει τον έρωτα στα μάτια ενός παλικαριού της περιοχής, του βοσκού Τάσου. Κι ενώ την πολιορκεί το αρχοντόπουλο της περιοχής, ο Κίτσος, εκείνη αρνείται τις προτάσεις του και παραμένει πιστή στους όρκους αγάπης που έχει ανταλλάξει με τον Τάσο. Οι δύο νέοι αρραβωνιάζονται και ετοιμάζονται να παντρευτούν, όταν ο Τάσος δέχεται πιεστικά προξενιά για την εξαδέλφη του Κίτσου και κόρη του τσέλιγκα, Σταυρούλα. Παρά την αρχική του άρνηση, ο Τάσος τελικά δελεάζεται από τη μεγάλη προίκα της Σταυρούλας και διώχνει την Γκόλφω. Η νεαρή κοπέλα απελπίζεται, χάνει τα λογικά της και καταριέται τον Τάσο. Λίγο πριν από τον γάμο τους, η παραλογισμένη πια Γκόλφω σηκώνει την κατάρα και τους εύχεται κάθε ευτυχία. Ο Τάσος κλονίζεται από το μεγαλείο του έρωτά της, αλλάζει γνώμη και τρέχει στο κατόπι της, είναι όμως αργά. Η Γκόλφω έχει φαρμακωθεί και ξεψυχά στα χέρια του. Ο Τάσος αυτοκτονεί στο πλευρό της. The theatrical play took place in Tseri village in July 1953. Women were not allowed to participate in theatrical plays, therefore their roles were played by men. Standing from left are Christodoulos Moisi, Giannis Pelekani, Vasos Panteli, Georgios Makris, Andreas Konstantinou, Agathoklis Pieri, Kostis Praxis and Christodoulos Konstantinou. Sitting from left are Christos Papadopoulos, Michalakis Pieri, Kostas Vanezi, Christos Vanezi, Zenios Euthymiou, Kokis Pieri and Georgios Kosta. The story of the play is evolved around a poor and shepherdess called Gofo. Tassos, a young shepherd, is in love with Golfo and intends to marry her. However, the rich shepherdess Stavroula with the help of her father manages to lure him with the promise of a dowry. Eventually he realises his mistake and returns to Golfo, but she has poisoned herself. Driven by guilt, Tasos commits suicide.
