Το μοναστήρι της Παναγίας του Σίντη βρίσκεται στην επαρχία Πάφου, νοτιοανατολικά του χωριού Πενταλιά. Ειναι χτισμένο στη δυτική όχθη του χειμάρρου Ξεροποτάμου, στη συμβολή του με το αργάκι του Σίντη, απ' όπου προήλθε και η ονομασία του μοναστηριού. Οι ιστορικές πηγές σχετικά με την ίδρυση του μοναστηριού είναι ελάχιστες. Γίνονται αναφορές επι Βενετοκρατίας καθώς και σε έγγραφα των Οθωμανικών χρόνων. Το μοναστήρι του Σίντυ πιθανόν να ήταν αρχικά αυτοτελής μονή και αργότερα έγινε μετόχι της Μονής Κύκκου. Σύμφωνα με μαρτυρίες των μοναχών του Κύκκου το μοναστήρι λειτουργούσε μέχρι το 1927. Το 1966 κυρήχθηκε Αρχαίο Μνημείο από το Τμήμα Αρχαιοτήτων ενώ από το 1994 μεχρι το 1997 έγιναν οι εργασίες συντήρησης και αποκατάστασης του μοναστηριού με πρωτοβουλία του Ηγούμενου κ. Νικηφόρου της Μονής Κύκκου που ανέθεσε τη μελέτη αποκατάστασης σε ομάδα πέντε αρχιτεκτόνων. Τα μοναστηριακά κτίσματα είναι πετρόχτιστα και αναπτύσσονται σε τρείς πτέρυγες σε σχήμα Π, γύρω από μεγάλη λιθόστρωτη αυλή. Το καθολικό της μονής καταλαμβάνει μέρος της νότιας πλευράς της αυλής. Αποτελεί αξιόλογο δείγμα μονόχωρου ναού με τρούλλο της μεταβυζαντινής περιόδου στη Κύπρο με κάποια μορφολογικά στοιχεία με δυτικές/φράγκικες επιρροές. Το εικονοστάσι της εκκλησίας με εξαίρετα δείγματα ξυλογλυπτικής του 16ου αιώνα, που μέχρι το 1956 διατηρείτο στη θέση του, σήμερα μετά τη συντήρησή του εκτίθεται στο Μουσείο της Ιεράς Μονής Κύκκου ενώ αντίγραφο τοποθετήθηκε στη θέση του παλιού.
