He was one of the so-called "septenary" and the election of Hadjistyllis created great tension in the village, where the inhabitants were divided into two factions intransigents and moderates. Also in these elections in Lofou spent hundreds of pounds on both sides. In April 1923 the Hadjistyllis elected president of the Society of Wine Producers based in "Krasochoria".
