Το 1887, ο μεγαλύτερος υιός, Χασάν Αχμέτ Πολίς, γνωστός και ως Γερο-Χασαμπουλλής, καταδικάζεται σε επτά χρόνια φυλάκιση, για προβατοκλοπή, αλλά δραπετεύει και κρύβεται στα βουνά. Εκεί, διαπράττει τρεις φόνους, μέχρι η Αστυνομία να τον συλλάβει τελικά.
